Project Overview

Renewable Energy Hub is a comprehensive platform developed to connect renewable energy installation companies with potential clients. The goal was to support the renewable energy sector by helping clients find trusted installers quickly and easily. As the Full Stack Developer I was involved in this project to modernize the web presence , platform's architecture and streamlined the matching process between users and service providers.

Challenges

The existing site suffered from outdated web pages, inefficient lead and credit system, slow loading times, and limited administrative features. My task was to improve the platform's core systems and performance, usability, and scalability.

Solution

To address these challenges, I spearheaded the technical overhaul of the platform.

This involved creating detailed project documentation and estimating timelines, as well as working on the development part and leading UI/UX design, and quality assurance across teams. I revamped and improved the site's architecture for better performance, implemented robust lead and credit management modules, and optimized the site for SEO. I also worked with the mobile app team to ensure feature parity on mobile and coordinated QA testing to maintain high quality. New modules were added to enhance user engagement and service value.

Key Modules/Features Developed:

• Lead System Improvements: Enhanced the workflow to capture leads and route them to eligible installation companies.
• Credit Management System: Developed a custom currency system enabling installers to purchase leads quickly.
• Solar Panel Cost Calculator: An interactive tool that estimates solar panel installation costs based on location, panel specs, and other parameters.
• CMS Enhancements: Improvements to the Content Management System for easier administration of site blogs and information pages.
• Lead Tracking Module: Enabled effective monitoring of lead sources from the platform.
• Admin Dashboard with Analytics: Developed a new admin interface featuring key performance metrics.
• Payment, Email, and Notification System: Integrated Payment Gateways and developed Email & Notification system with Comprehensive tracking for transparency and auditing.

Results & Impact :

• 25,000+ Registered Installers
• 1.5M+ Annual Visitors
• 7,500+ Annual Installations tracked.
• 8.9M+ KG of CO2 Saved.
• 25.5M kWh Green Energy Generated.
